Kansas State Prelaw Program in London

London
Law, Politics, and Literature

We have created a new study abroad opportunity for Pre-Law students to spend two weeks in London studying the Law, Literature and Politics. It is titled "London: Law, Politics and Literature" and begins May 25 until June 8, 2010. With the exception of one day in Oxford and one day in Stratford Upon Avon, we will be in London. Students are required to enroll in two courses : Political Science 670 "Law, Politics and Literature in London" and English 450 "Shakespeare's London" but all students will be eligible for Kansas State's in-state tuition and fees of $1,280 total for the six (6) credit hours so it is quite a bargain.

Highlights of the experience include
• Tour the Royal Courts of Justice
• Explore the Law School of Queen Mary University of London
• Participate in a walking tour of the Inns of Court
• Visit the Tower of London, and the Speaker’s Corner in Hyde Park
• Visit areas currently and historically associated with the London legal and punishment system
• Attend several plays at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, the National Theatre, and others
• Participate in the audience of a BBC political show broadcast
• Visit the Churchill Museum and War Rooms
• Explore the British Museum, including the Elgin Marbles
• Spend a day in Oxford

ELIGIBILITY
Minimum 2.5 GPA
CREDIT
