Presenters for this webinar are:

Eileen Doyle Crane has counseled thousands of aspiring law students over the last 17 years as prelaw advisor at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. Ms. Crane has served as the President of the Western Association of Prelaw Advisors and as Chair of the Prelaw Advisors National Council (PLANC). In her prelaw advising career she has visited 92 US law schools and she routinely serves as a presenter at prelaw advisor conferences.

Ava Preacher is assistant dean for the College of Arts and Letters at the University of Notre Dame, where she has served as the primary prelaw advisor since 1993. She provides assistance and counsel to both current undergraduates and alumni throughout all phases of the admissions-application cycle. Dean Preacher twice has served as president of the Midwest Association of Prelaw Advisors and has been a member of the PLANC.

Gregory Shaffer has served as coordinator of pre-law advising at the University of Maryland at College Park since 2003. As the primary advisor to one of the nation’s largest programs for students and graduates who go on to law school, he provides assistance on a range of issues relating to admission to law school and legal careers. Mr. Shaffer routinely interacts with admission deans from a cross section of law schools in all regions of the country.

Political Science Internships!

Internships for academic credit in political science at UNLV are available for Summer and Fall 2010.

Here's a selection of some of the kinds of positions that will be filled:

  • Several non-governmental organizations (NGOs) like Planned Parenthood.
